The Myanmar government organised a media visit to the Taung Bro No Man’s Land Rohingya refugee encampment.
The visiting journalists wanted to know why the refugees would not return to Myanmar and why they continued to reside on No Man’s Land. Dil Mohammed, a resident of the No Man’s Land refugee community, explained that there is no question of returning to Myanmar without all the necessary safeguards in place and without all of their rights restored. He explained that the Myanmar government cannot be trusted.
Furthermore, when asked about the International Criminal Court, Dil Mohammed voiced his support for the ICC and said
“The ICC must take the perpetrators to trial”.
